Elle King has always been a stunning entertainer. And her talent has led to 2 studio albums, 1 EP, 17 singles (including 4 as a featured artist), 5 promo singles, 8 music videos, and several other album appearances.

Her debut EP, The Elle King EP, was released in 2012. This album featured the single “Playing for Keeps” which became the theme song for VH1’s Mob Wives Chicago series.

After this, she released her debut album, Love Stuff, on February 17, 2015. This album produced “Ex’s & Oh’s” which reached the US top 10 and earned her two Grammy nominations. The album also made history by being the first ever #1 album on the UK Americana chart, which launched on January 28, 2016. It also placed #2 on the UK Biggest Americana Albums of 2016 and was certified gold in both the US and Canada.

She then released her second studio album, Shake the Spirit, on October 19, 2018 under RCA Records. This album peaked at #9 on the US Billboard Top Rock Albums charts as well as #6 on the US Billboard Top Alternative Albums chart. This album was also beloved by critics who gave it critical acclaim. Many stated that the album, along with the global success of “Ex’s and Oh’s” proves that she had much to offer the music world.

The themes present in the album included divorce, self-doubt, medicinal drinking, and PTSD which King suffered in her personal life as a result of being in the spotlight.
